If you want something bigger than a pickup but not as large as a full
semi, take a look at the Isuzu NPR series with the turbocharged diesel
engines, check out the 185 hp six. They come in automatic and 6 speeds.
GMC owns a big part of Isuzu and has a nation wide service program. Note
that these are cab over engine and offer boxes on the back from 14 to 24 foot.

This would give you storage and  a standard hitch to tow with.
