We just bought a '65 Tradewind. Unlike you we have tow cars but they 
need rigging.  I just made and installed a class three hitch on a 63 
New Yorker Wagon today.  Next is a Hayes/Lemmerz hydraulic over 
electric brake controller. I like the fact that the car brake 
pressure directly controls the electric power to the trailer with 
this "old fashion" unit (part # 81740C). I think I will use the 
traditional wiring method vs the modern one in keping with the spirit 
if the project. The Reese hitch parts I bought cost around 350 
dollars. It included a short piece of receiver tube and all the 
equalizer and sway control parts. The rest of the hitch I had to make 
because books only go back to 89.  If you live near Minnesota I could 
help you make a hitch as I suspect my 70 Cad is built on the same 
frame as your Buick and it is my next project!  Good luck.
