RE: [A/S] new tow car

Mike, I have towed with two 1973 yachts. But both of them were Chryslers. My
suggestions are:
      -Install the largest aux. transmission cooler you can get to fit.
      -Install an aux. tranny fluid filter.
      -Install a temp guage for the tranny fluid.
      -Install a brake controll unit-with a '73 (no antilock brakes)       you can go
with a brake fluid activated unit if they can still be       found-they were
excellent!
      -Install a wiring harness and plug (7 pin)
      -Install hitch receiver
      -Purchase towing mirrors (removable-mount on fenders)
      -have the tranny fluid and filter changed and the bands adjusted
      -if possible get a larger radiator
      -make sure brakes and suspension are A-1
      -if you need to get into the rear end for any reason you may want       to
consider changing the gear ratio to something appropriate for       towing
