Jeff -- I wouldn't have paid $7500 for that trailer,
so you made a good decision.  I've run across several
EXCELLENT examples in that era (late 60's early 70's)
for $2500 to $4000.  The longer ones (27' and up) are
available in ABUNDANCE everywhere. Don't be
discouraged, there is no shortage of Airstreams in
that year range - keep your eyes open.

keep looking -- prices seem to go down in the
fal/winter months.  Also - no offense to the older
folks on this list: I would find the nearest Airstream
Park to you - pay them a visit, and tell them you are
interested in buying one.  Often times there are
trailers of that age where the owner is no longer able
to RV, or is upgrading, or has passed away.  In many
cases you can get a pampered Airstream for very little
out of pocket simply because the family doesn't know
what to do with it, doesn't know what it's worth, or
just wants to sell.
