Unless I'm 'way wrong, the volume of condensate produced is
determined by the volume of air that is cooled below its dew point.
If the A/C is cooling outside air only, then less condensate should
mean less cooling. Obviously, that would not be true if some
fraction of the internal air is re-circulated through the system.
Maybe the difference is in the *fraction* of internal air that
is re-circulated, compared with the outside-air volume. I haven't
heard anything about the Carrier units, but I'd want some explanation
of just why there is less condensate.
