I have been told (by a repair person, faced with either "spotting" or re-doing a panel on my trailer, all for free) that you cannot really "spot" clearcoat. Obviously, that's an overstatement, but what he meant was that it does not result in a good appearance. He stripped and re-coated the whole panel (yes, for free). - Dick (5368)
