Bob,
 I can't tell you the answers to your questions without a lot more
information that only YOU can provide. If you'll go to
http://bart.ccis.com/home/mnemeth/12volt/12volta.htm, you'll find some
charts that will help you do the figuring.

Bear in mind that power-hungry appliances like a microwave oven or
coffeemaker will use battery power at an alarming rate. And, if you
remove a lot of power from your batteries, you'll need to replace it
(plus at least 10% for efficiency losses).

If you have a large inverter and run things like your microwave, you
should figure on 4 golf-cart batteries and at least 300 watts of solar
panels. Again, you should do the figuring so you KNOW.
