We have a 63 Ambassador that I have used sevral different kinds of 
strippers on the old clear coat.  All the ones that I have tried seem 
to not hardly make a differnce in removing the clearcoat but they do 
clean the surface.  So If you find a stripper that works could please 
share the info.  I have tried 2 different brands of aircraft paint 
remover and Bix spray on stripper.  I have given up for the time
being 
and just have polished the clear coat looks beter than it did.
