Re: [A/S] Polishing question

If your coach looks reasonably shiny after reomoval of clear coat than you
might be able to go to final polish. I am currently testing AP-300 (pricey)
vs. Mother Carnauba wax (less pricey)

Two very important aspects of polishing are to use a good quality
polisher.  They are not cheap.  $175 up unless you can find a used
one.  Rentals for about $60 per week.

I found one at a Pawn shop for $55 that works well.
Second most important is to have a lot (6-8) double sided pads.  Wool is
highly regarded but others work.  You need to swap buffing pads before
grime builds up or otherwise your buffer will just push black oxidation
around for a long time.

Best plan is to have a washer person who cleans the pads as they are
used.  Spin them dry with the buffer and then let them dry in the sun.  To
keep going for any length of time you need quite a few pads.  A clean pad
makes all the difference in easy polishing.

Hope this helps,
