[AirstreamList] Fluorescent Light Question

Now that we have a List again, I have a question.

I have a '75 31 ft Sovereign, and am considering changing the interior
lighting to fluorescent to cut the current draw.  There are three
overhead light/vent assemblies to be changed out.

Has anyone done this?  Which fluorescent units did you use, and how did
you handle the light covers?  The light and vent covers I have are
really discolored, and I'd like to replace them with clear or white if
that sort of thing
is available.

Just got the solar setup running, so now the project is to reduce
current consumption wherever possible.
