Hunter, on our Limited with factory installed blinds, they hang outside,
i.e.,
the top control channel is mounted on 
(not in) the wall, and the blinds are cut
exactly the width of the window opening.
This permits access to the knobs which
are used in raising or lowering the window
without having to reach behind the blinds.
On the 1980 - 31 footer we have aluminum blinds, after market, replacing
roller shades.  These are mounted outside
the window frame also but overlap each 
side an inch or more, making it difficult
to raise and lower the windows without
first raising the blinds.  IMO the wooden
blinds are far superior to aluminum (or
plastic) which tend to bend from handling
or from accidentally hooking into them
with hand or cleaning tool, etc. and in time
breaking.  Advantage in having blinds wider than window opening:
persons on
the outside cannot see inside through the
open space, which is usually covered anyhow by drapes.

kick out of Tucker's instinctual herding
abilities -- every little bit, including the lying down when he had them
in place.
If we ever leave Port O'Call, we will have
to get us a fuzzy child.

I've still not uncovered the Airstream.net
decals, but when I do you will have two of
them.
