  This is good advice and the same as with boats.  Why the manufacturers of these items can't get it 
right the first time escapes me.  And "come backs" are expensive.  Maybe most folks just put up with 
the crap.

Now, my case:  I dropped of the escape pod in Jackson Center yesterday.  The two folks I dealt with 
seemed most willing to be helpful and get this coach whole and right.  That is very encouraging.  I 
don't know if it was my natural charm, good looks or they are just nice folks on there own.  Most likely 
the latter.  But, the real deal is what they do not what hey say.  From my first impressions I would say 
that they want to make this right.  I cannot fault how they handled our problems.  They were super.

And, while we were here I found the problem with the air conditioner: lousy power in the 
campgrounds.  At Jackson Center, where there are full hookups gratis, the power got the AC cranking 
presto; no lag at all.  

We are back in upstate NY awaiting the death of my father-in-law and then the funeral.  After that we 
will be back on the road.  The Admiral says we should stay a day or two in Jackson Center to check out 
the repairs.  And you thought I married her just because she has good looking legs!  So, we will spend 
a couple of days in Jackson Center checking out the rig and taking the tour.  I will post photos for you 
folks who want to see how the elves put these things together.  I sure am interested.  The folks at the 
Service Center have warranteed everything I listed except the possibly bent frame.  The #1 service guy 
is doubtful the frame is bent as he says the are tough and if it is they seem to feel it is an problem from 
when the tow truck dropped the trailer last year.  Fortunately I have insurance and maintenance 
insurance (warranty extension) so O think if the frame is dinged I am covered and the insurance 
companies can duke it out.  I suggest they each carry a sock full of horse dung for a weapon, unless 
they allow the claim in which case I will buy them all a cup of coffee.  ;o)


Met Dick and Jane Keenan at Jackson Center.  Jeez they are nice folks.  Is it the folks on this list are so 
great, or does the list just attract above average people?  Anyway, we had a nice chat and then they 
took off the next day and will return to pick up their rig, which is immaculate.  Dick is a squared away 
guy who does it "by the numbers".  Picked up some ideas from him, most notable the gizmoolies 
which are modified scissors jacks to be stuck between the tires to keep the rig from moving.  He says 
these decrease rig rocking greatly.  Also, he puts some oomph behind locking the stabilizers down; 
more than I, anyway.  I may want to check this with the folks at the factory.

Anyway, folks, JC started well.  Let's hope that well started is well finished.  Happy Trails to you all
