Re: [a/s] 1970s Airstreams
What I wonder is if they have "Monday morning" models and "Friday afternoon"
models. Remember the book "Wheels"...
In it the auto assembly plant workers were accused of making lousy cars on
Friday afternoons & Monday mornings... it got so people were asking what day
their new car was made before they would buy. The most desirable days being
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
I imagine a lot of it has to do with the work ethic of the person who is
actually working on a particular area. For example the people who did the
finish work in Sandy's '99 obviously didn't give a damn how it turned out, it
was all just slapped in...
Apparently different people put Verna's together.
It seems like a quality control problem.... If I were in charge of quality
control I would not have "passed" Sandy's trailer (I have seen it in person)
and I would have fired whoever haphazardly put it together.
I likeb buying a three year old trailer, the person who bought it new had the
new trailer hassles... if there were any (c:
