Re: [a/s] New members questions

Perry,

Very well, thank you. ;^)> (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

SmarTire consists of up to six sensors, one in each wheel. They monitor
temperature and pressure from within the tire and transmit (RF link)
said information to a receiver unit in the driver's compartment. Sensors
only transmit when tire is moving at +- 5 mph, so claimed battery life
is 5-7 yrs. (Should outlast your tires.) A vehicle powered LCD graphic
allows the driver to check each tire individually. The receiver also
has programmable alarms for high and high, high temp and low and low,low
pressure.

The graphic assumes two front tires and four rears, so the display won't
look exactly like your trailer's tri-axle. But if you get a light and
beep, at least you will know to stop and analyze in stead of checking it
out 20 miles down the road after the tire has beaten your coach up.

Been there, done that. :^(>

Check out their website at: www.smartire.com for dealer info.
