Re: [a/s] Airstream/Argosy Search
I have had a rear bedroom before and now have a rear bath. I love the
privacy of a rear bedroom and the fact that it is much more of a room than a
center bedroom layout. I prefer my rear bathroom model because it has a
real bath tub that I can soak in after a hard day of hiking.
As far as eary Seventies vs late Seventies it seems that the newer the
trailer the more likely it is to be heavier. The Airstream founder Wally
Byam took pride in the fact that his trailers were so light weight. In
recent times the management has been ignoring that and now new Airstreams
weigh more than the comptition, in some cases twice as much. On Airstream's
web site they won't even give you the vehicle weights! As far as the Argosy
goes, it is of good quality, but from an investment point of veiw, I feel
the vintage Airstreams will always go up in value beyond that of the Argosy.
Keep up your research! you will here wonderful advice on this site.
