Is there ever a time when there's nothing broken? We are
beginning to wonder! Guess that's just wishful thinking.
This past holiday weekend we had our refrigerator replaced at
the Camping World in Nashville. When we got to our campground up in
Bowling Green, KY, and turned it on, it didn't cool. My husband called the
Camping World in that city, but they said they didn't have anyone to work on
it. So he called the Dometic factory, and after some discussion, the
technician there said that there was too much dead space around the unit, and
that it needed to be insulated. We did that, and it then worked on gas but
not electricity. Yesterday, we returned to the Camping World in
Nashville, and after a 2 hour wait, the technician there showed us that the
installer had failed to plug in the frig! He insulated it well, and after
another 2 hour wait to check out the system, it now seems to be working
fine!
However......now we find that the hotwater heater is not always shutting
off. That means it sometimes overheats and releases the water
outside. We have the shutoff switch in the bathroom, but that doesn't
always shut it off. We finally figured out to go outside and turn off the gas to
the unit to get it to shut off. Any ideas?
