Greatest cause of electrical appliance
failure ... lack of electron flow. (Industry joke ...but fairly
accurate.)

However......now we find that the hotwater heater is not always shutting
off. That means it sometimes overheats and releases the water
outside. We have the shutoff switch in the bathroom, but that doesn't
always shut it off. We finally figured out to go outside and turn off the gas
to the unit to get it to shut off. Any ideas?

Check the wiring
guide in the owners manual and I'll wager that there is a [
Thermocouple or Temp Sensor or Thermostat] that regulates the water temp
by a bi-metal switch of some type and there is your problem. Unless fairly
well versed in things electrical not a good idea to self fix. Any electricians
in the campground?? maybe able to help. Call the company ...order the part by
model # and figure # and have them FedEx it to your
campground.

Hmmmm methinks I may bring my tools and testers on
the road with me. There always seems to be a call for on the road minor
repairs .... maybe being a technician for 32 years wasn't so bad after
all.
