[a/s] Univolt replacement & Locks

Hey, kids!

The Univolt in our 77 LandYacht has buzzed its last note. Damn thing 
died yesterday, in the midst of showing the trailer to a nice couple 
who might want to buy it.

Long-time readers may know that I hate the UniVolt. Who wants a loud 
buzzer beside the bed, except perhaps when trying to wake in the 
morning? But enough of that...

I intend to replace the UniVolt not with its successor, but rather 
with the smallest, quietest, battery charger I can find. (FYI to 
those who don't know -- any ac/dc battery charger can do the work of 
the univolt. I've got an old Sears 2/10/50 Amp charger plugged in as 
I type.)

Any recommendations on a silent, buzzfree battery charger?

Also, any recommendations on replacement locks? Turns out the 
airstream latchbox & lever are merely covered with a veneer of 
aluminum. If the metal underneath corrodes -- and by the sea, it sure 
does -- the aluminum peels right off.

There's got to be a better way, or at least a replacement lock/latch 
available somewhere that won't corrode. Any suggestions?
