Our trailer has a Zip Dee fabric awning.  It is made from synthetic
materials that is supposed to be mildew free.  Out awning is 11 years old
and except of a few stains looks almost new.

There was one problem with our awning someone was shooting off flares near
my trailer and pieces of the flare bounce of the roof on to the awning.  It
melted 7 small holes in the fabric.  Zip Dee sent me free of charge three
pieces of the material each a foot square from which I made patches affixed
to the underside with silicone adhesive.

The down side to Zip Dee, I think, is expense.
