Hi Tom

On the training video from Pergo, they instruct to leave a 1/4" gap all 
around the edge of the floor, but in both kitchen and bath installation, to 
fill the 1/4' expansion area with Pergo silicon seal (which matches colour). 
This will effectively seal the floor, allow expansion and also an fix the 
floor so it does not slide around. On the video, they were quite specific 
about leaving the 1/4" gap, because the floor expands enough to cause a 
buckle.

Also, you have to use a special belt clamp to ensure that glue squeezes out 
of the joints and makes them waterproof.

If you do it right - they guarantee the floor.
