I have done my bathroom with thin, flexible tile and the rest of the A/S
with parquet.  I was worried about the floor flexing and disrupting the
tiles. So far this has not happened (2 years). The parquet is stunning but
the thin tiles (vinyl, I think) were easier to install, lighter, and may be
more practical.
