Are you certain its actually the converter doing the humming?  Maybe
you're getting a drumming, humming or vibration from surrounding
materials and they are the problem?  Maybe its a combination of elements?
 Surronding materials are providing a source of amplification.   In that
instance,  one would merely need to better insulate the converter from
contact with material around it.  Isolate the converter.  So far as I
know there is nothing in the converter that should raise the noice level
to a noticable drum/hum but the ac/dc switching which, if working
correctly, shouldn't cause any drumming or humming.
