Just blind observations, but if you were that allergic to mildew, you would
not be able to go in a lot of places without the same reaction... Does
anyone else have the same reaction when thay are in the trailer for a period
of time???

Do you have the batteries on charge???   I was wondering if the batteries
are gassing to the extent that you are getting some effect from that....In a
confined area even with windows open, I would think a small amount of vapour
would irritate....This is really a puzzler....

How about the drains... do you have water in all the traps??? How about the
toilet.... empty tank or a tank full of "chemicals".???  Was some kind of
cleaner put in the holding tanks to make everything smell sweet????
Sometimes sweet smells are just as deadly as bad smells... "Carbon
tetrachloride"... a cleaner not used much anymore smells great and distroys
your kidneys....A number of cleaners used professionally to remove gum and
other problems from seats are sold only under license....known
problems....You might want to flush out the tanks with a garden hose and a
lot of water to eliminate anything with the drains....

I read on another list that when paint strippers are used inside an
Airstream, they get into the seams and are activated by the moisture in the
air and condensation in the trailer....and cause problems....

As a suggestion could you wrap all the "foam" in plastic to see if the
problem goes away??   It would be a shame to get into replacement and find
out nothing changes....Most of the cushions could be taken out to see if
something is the big offender....Is there any chance you can find out what
was done to prep this baby for sale????

I can't believe that you can't see the mildew all over the place, if that is
the problem...

I hope you can break the code on this puzzle before dumping real money into
what my former workmates would call the barrage treatment versus the Easter
egg hunt where you swap out one thing at a time to find the culprit.... It
would be nice to scientifically arrive at the air freshner that is causing
the whole problem...By the way, is there something like that at work here...
like maybe the ones that plug into the AC and put a nice smelling chemical
into the air????
