I'm afraid your post still leaves it sounding as tho Ruth and Dan were at 
fault for being hit.  When a truck comes over in your lane it doesn't matter 
if you are in a car, a motorhome or whatever -you're in trouble.

Their trailer didn't jackknife until it hit the parked car.  As i read it the 
a/s was following straight behind the car, not swaying around and that the 
hitch had absolutely nothing to do with the accident.  Perhaps it even kept 
the aftermath of being hit from being worse.
