[a/s] Another "newbie"

Hello from California, My wife & I just purchased our
Airstream and want to introduce ourselves. My name is
Doug Robinson and my wife is Patty. We currently live
in Rancho Palos Verdes, California (a suburb of Los
Angeles). I say currently because our house hits the
market on Monday the 20th of March and my wife retires
in mid-June (I took a golden handshake in May last
year). We picked up a 1975, 25 foot Land Yatch Trade
Wind in October of last year. It was to be my home
while I supervised construction of a new home, but now
we have decided to travel a bit first. Our initial
trip is intended to take us into Canada and on to
Alaska (by ferry) following Patty’s retirement. The
only hard point in our schedule is a family Christmas
in Kentucky. I’m trying to figure out the Full-Timer
bit and will start working on the a/s as soon as the
house details are straightened out. Lurking out here
for the last month has been a real education. (The
first part of which was listening to the complaining
about I-10 through LA. It took me about 4 letters to
figure out that was Louisiana, NOT Los Angeles! It all
sounded like the same problem.) Anyway, I’m coming out
of the closet and hope to learn much more in the

PS - I joined the WBCCI and was assigned number 1809.
Does anyone know how these numbers are assigned? It
also took less than 2 weeks to get the package back.
As a ’75, we were eligible for the VAC, so we joined
that “branch” also. A 1 week response there!
