Hi Rik:
Years ago I looked at the Cozy Cabin Heater but eliminated it from
consideration because of the built in oxygen depletion sensor. That
sensor cuts off the propane fuel supply if oxygen falls below a preset
level, thus turning off the heater. That safety feature may work fine
if the heater remains at sea level, as on an ocean going boat, but at
altitude would defeat the reason for having heater.
I live at 5,280 feet elevation, and often camp above 9,000 feet
elevation. I imagine, but don't know, the cozy Cabin Heater may refuse
to operate at altitude because of a sensed depletion in ambient oxygen
levels. I need a heater that will work above 6,000 feet, so chose a
catalytic heater instead.
