[VACList] waterheater decision

We need to decide by Wed...2 days

Whether to have a regular 6 gallon waterheater installed or to go with a
Precisiontemp instant one. I don't like the additional weight of the 6
gallon kind and I am willing to pay double the price but I wonder about
the instant ones when I read all sorts of problems folks have with them.

I want to have it installed if it's not too outrageous to do so. Has
anyone done this lately? I really have read as much as I can on them.
That's where I kept reading about the problems.

The real situation is that we only expect to use this trailer for about
a year and then sell it so maybe this 'instant water heater' expense
will be too high and we won't get the return on our money.

We are going in search of a sailboat in 2 years or so [maybe sooner] to
live on in retirement and we thought redoing this trailer would be good
experience [which it is] and a reasonable way to travel the east coast
for about 6 months looking for the right boat instead of staying in
hotels and all. We will also live in it while preparing the boat for a
"live-aboard" situation which usually takes a while.

Apparently, we are also crazy enough to enjoy the challenge and wish we
could keep it for the time when we are done sailing but storage is
prohibitive. We hope that if the interior we build looks 'stupendous'
enough we can at least sell it for what we have in it. We are definitely
better at carpentry than all this other systems stuff but we are
learning quickly.

Any and all opinions appreciated.
