Back then, gray water was considered just like water for the plants, and you could 
just dump it everywhere, which is why before '74 there were no gray tanks.  The the 
gummint decided we might pee in the sink or poop in the shower, so gray water 
became as bad as black and we have to keep those blue turtles under our trailers.

There is also something called a Michigan bucket.
