Used or "burnt" motor oil is fairly flammable - it makes a good fire starter
for a fireplace.  Put it in a dish detergent squirt bottle and squirt it on
the logs. But you have to hold a flame to it to get it lighted. Iron filings
will burn, that's the sparkle in sparklers. Rust is oxidized iron, so it is
"burnt" already.
