ci displacement vs cid for diesel vs gasser - there is not comparison for HP and
torque on the ground.  A diesel will outpull an equiv 7.3l gasser any day of the
week.

I would even put my underpowered (no intercooler) up against a 7L gasser.  the
rest of your comments are typically biased and if you enjoy an engine that burns
itself up towing trailers, at high rpm to achieve the same torque/hp that the
diesel does at 25-50% of the gasser's rpms, then enjoy.  After all, how many 18
wheelers are on the road using gas engines.  golly, why is that???

also, please take an extra minute to comply with netiquette rules and change the
subject line from the digest or, stop using a digest entirely. Most people
receive too many emails every day to do more than to look at messages with a non
descriptive subject line, say to themselves - this guy is too lazy to change the
subject line, that says something about the guy and the probably content - then
delete it unread. A LOT of people do exactly that.  Read the rules of
netiquette, search google for RFC1855.
