[VACList] Gas vs.Diesel

Take it from one who does this for a living.  As a mechanical contractor with 
about 35 trucks on the lot, I can tell you endless horror stories regarding Ford 
diesel work trucks.  Most are 350's and our records indicate that they have about 
three times the maintenance and repairs of our gas trucks over the life of the 
vehicle. 

Needless to say, we are weeding them out via attrition and going to all gas.

The diesels may be OK for pulling an Airstream but in the day-to-day working 
world they leave a lot to be desired.  

Personally, I pull with a F250 V-10 and love it.

My opinions may not be the same as everyone's but at least I have many years of 
service records to weigh in on the issue.
