[VAC] Re: A/S Skin Repair

well, a '64 tradewind will have some scrapes and dings
- most don't justify the cost of a replacement
panel... the raw materials are currently running at
$18.20 per running foot. (T3-2024 AlClad 4' wide)

that's not including labor, or forming a sheet around
a dome curve if that's necessary. most larger dents
can be popped out, but if one were to think that it
must be perfect, on could easily make a $2500 trailer
valueless counting scrapes and dings...

one other thing to note is that MANY airstreams of
that era (but not limited to) have relatively major
DENTS in the front belly pan... I mean ALOT of 'em
do... that doesn't mean don't buy that trailer... hard
to find one without those dents, and that aluminum is
thinner, and likewise cheaper.
