The best way to learn how to tow an Airstream is to do a little reading then
get behind the wheel with an experienced Airstreamer.  If you had mentioned
the area of California you might find some help.  I pass through California
several times a year myself.

Last I heard a Californian can avoid state sales tax when buying from a
California dealer one of two ways.  1) Move out of state and take delivery
over the state line.  I took delivery of mine in Reno.  2) Buy the trailer
and prove you took it out of the state for continuous use elsewhere.  The
period of use used to be six documented months, I have heard recently it has
gone up to twelve months, ask your dealer.
