[A/S] tires?

I need to buy tires for a 25ft Sovereign. I would not want anything but radials on my 
tow vehicle but is there a difference between bias ply and radial for trailers? Also 
found most are D range but one company has E range tires for trailers available. We plan 
on carrying a lot of weight. Is there any disadvantage of E range tires except for the 
harder ride? Any feedback on this from you experts?
