Re: [A/S] Fuel consumption

Since 1965 I have owned 8 diesel vehicles starting with 1965 MB and all with
one exception were far cheaper and more reliable than any of the gas powered
vehicles.
I don't know about the electronic injectors for fu le delivery but with the
Borsch injector pump I have found that almost no maintaince was required. one
100 k mile span on the MB was to replace 2 manifold bolts. The 92 Dodge still
has the mechanical injector pump not even so much as a tune up in 135 k
miles. and in town it delivers 22 mpg and hwy 26 mpg towing reasonable flat land
18+mpg Mountains 13 mpg 4.10 rear end 5 speed manual.
The Suburban That is another story what a piece of s--t.
