OK. My question is: Why would black mold(mould)grow in a culture of RV
antifreeze? Does RV AF  not contain some level of antiseptic? I
usually use thymol (which are in Listerine) to kill mold in my paint.
Would that work to kill mold in the water system?

In all seriousness, as a student in Huntsville, and again when in
Thailand "everything" grew mold. To the point of having to keep an
operating lightbulb in the clothes closet to keep the moisture at bay.
We had mold everywhere, and it was all black. I would welcome some
elightenment on black mold, since I have been told everything from
"it's the next asbestsos," in terms of health concerns, to "its the
next asbestos" in terms of a method of fleecing the public for cleanup.

I have no vested interest either way, except I don't want it in my
lungs either, but have a hard time imagining finding a qualified mold
expert that would not be as interested in getting my money as one
would be in my health.

Hopefully this does not come off as strident or argumentative, but a
lifetime of being a "fleecee" has me somewhat skeptical of commercial
enterprises that are interested in my well being.
