The official word from Airstream is 2000 pounds.  Many people tow more.  
We tow a 2006 Scion XB, 2300 +.

The chevy manual won't tell you how much you can tow with your 345.  
Airstream extended the frame and added the tag axle. 
Many people believe that it is the frame extension which makes the max 
tow rating so low.
