Bill,
Two reasons:  Safety and Safety.

A:  Emergency brakes are for just that, emergencies.  Anything else 
is just a misapplication of your emergency system.

B:  Ampacity.  Brake wires are about 16 guage (5 amps) Jack probably 
draws about 3 or 4 time that.  More amps more heat, more heat = 
melted wires.  Refer back to A:  melted wires will not activate 
emergency braking system.
