RE: [A/S] Generator? '76 or so factory location

For what its worth,

In the mid 70's, Airstream had a factory installed generator option (or
standard on their Excella(?)) located on the curbside, aft of the rear
wheels on a slide out mount.  The unit was propane fueled and only powerful
enough to handle light loads, such as recharging batteries, etc. A modern,
lightweight Honda is probably lighter than the older Airstream installation.

I have no idea what structural modifications Airstream made, though they did
provide a hinged access door similar to the ones used to access batteries.
