Hi list,
I have a small hand held gas detector from Clamping World.  It
runs on two AA batteries and is intended for use in locating
leaks.  It works okay but you must hold the power button
down to keep it on, so it's not suitable for use as an alarm.
Actually your nose is a more sensitive leak detector but you
may not want to stick your nose in every crack and crevice
sniffing for unpleasant orders.  B^) Unless you do your own
gas appliance repair you don't need one of these.  But it's a
neat gadget.
