hi all, 
  in northern Vermont the little critters are looking all year for a 
place to spend the winter.  traps help, no poison! the cat makes a 
difference in the house.  we tried the bounce sheets, no impact, but 
smells good. we use traps, check them often. once we have snow cover 
we stop. we put in two 2'x6' concrete pads for the tires to sit on. 
that really helps. in the spring as the thaw occurs and the ground 
under the trailer thaws last. at times the ground is within 4 or 5 
inches of the belly of the trailer. in winter a very slow leak will 
make a tire flat real quick so the concrete pads help with that also. 
once the full thaw occurs we're over a foot off the ground. 
  we still get the mice though, my wife was following me this summer 
and saw one jump out on the road while on the interstate. our dogs 
let us know if there is a mouse in the trailer when we are in it. they 
become consumed with catching them. the miniature schnauzer is good but 
the dachshund mix is fanatic.we may pull the cat into the mix if we get 
around to taking an extended trip. 
  i am tempted to try the plug in ultrasonic mouse things that keep mice 
out. has anyone tried those?
