[A/S] Diesel Duallies (was best truck opinion)
Hello List;
Somebody correct me if I am wrong here. A dually is just a single with a
kit. The kit adds two outside rear wheels and a wider fender to cover them.
In addition a dually may or may not have a 4.10 rear drive and maybe firmer
suspension. To make a dually back to a single would only require the
removal of the outside two wheels and the fender flares, correct? Sooooo,
if one were to get a fantastic deal on a dually, but wanted only a single,
could one not just convert it back to a single, thereby eliminating the
added tire expense of six versus four? Now I have not looked really closely
at these dually setups, but I do know that kits are/were available to
convert TO dually, so it should be possible to go back, right?
