The North Texas Airstream Community (NTAC) located in Hillsboro, TX
is an Airstream only park that has lots and villas for sale, now.  No
waiting.  The community owns the ground and you must buy a share
and pay an annual maintenance fee (about $550 last year).  The owner
owns any improvements (villa) and all lots have full hook-ups.  Pets are
allowed.  It's a gated community with many year round residents.
It's inside the city limits and has city water and sewer.

Hillsboro is a small city located about an hour south of Dallas and
about a half hour north of Waco.  There is a local college and an
outlet mall, a Wallmart and many restaurants.  Local hospital and
health care are available.  The climate is cooler then south Texas
or south Florida and has a mild winter with an occasional day of
freezing temperatures.  The park is on a hill top and usually enjoys
a gentle summer breeze but far enough away from the coast to be
safe from hurricanes.

It's a great place to retire or just use as a home base while full-timing.
Many of the existing villas are fully livable homes with bath, kitchen,
bedroom(s), etc.
