I recently had to add freon to the a/c in my
Thunderbird.  It was easier than expected, just a
matter of getting the correct type freon and making
the attachment you can't go wrong there because the
fitting sizes are different.   You don't even need
gauges - just put in enough so the one line starts to
sweat.  Mine took less than half a can which cost
under $15.

I've also learned that if a switch isn't making good
contact, a shot of WD40 will cure that.
