Hunter, that's exactly what happened to ours last week (we're in Las Vegas - 
110 degrees).  We suffered through the first day, then Leroy took the inside 
cover off, reached his hand in and gave the fan a push and it started!  It has 
been running full speed since - we are afraid to touch anything for fear it 
will stop.  Actually, it is running more smoothly than it has for quite some 
time.

When the problem first started, he took the top off and completely cleaned 
everything. He says the fan unit from above looks pretty worn - Brady at Billy 
Sim's tells us we can replace the fan component separately without replacing 
the complete air conditioner.  We leave here on Tuesday and won't know until we 
shut everything down and arrive at our next stop, if it will work by itself 
again.
