It is  LOADED after winding  
and can take off your arm if you aren't  careful!!

'This is VERY true. A few years back I was helping a friend on their 25'  
Airstream and we pulled the awning, the thing whipped around several times, hit  
my hand and my friends arm. The force was much more than you would imagine. We 
 ere very lucky not to break any thing more than skin.
