As mentioned elsewhere there are currently 3 choices in RV air 
conditioners these days.

The Dometic, Duo Therm Penquin series is the unit of choice by 
Airstream. The drip or more correctly collector pan is design to work 
only under this AC by virtue of size and how it is channeled. It is also 
intended to adapt the flat bottom of the AC unit to the curve of the roof.

The Coleman Power Saver is a slighty lower power draw version of the 
popular Mach 3+ which Coleman has been making for many years. It is a 
flat bottomed unit and an installer needs to block it in place to ensure 
a stable mount. While there was a time when Airstream used a Coleman AC 
it was the Delta TX model which was much longer than the current Mach 
3+. Airstream had a collector pan made for this AC also but now nothing 
fits on it. The Delta TX was the unit used immediately after the 
Armstrongs went away and before the Penquins came along.

The Carrier AC unit was introduced just a couple of years ago. Like the 
Coleman's it is a flat bottomed unit with not collected drain feature. 
HOWEVER, the Carrier uses a recycling technology with the condesation 
run off to spray it on the condensor coil to increase effiicency of the 
unit. Very little water runs out of the unit as a result.
