If the water from the hook-up was going into your FW tank (extremely
unlikely) it'd never empty.  And I don't mean a 3/4 tank read-out.*

2 petcocks?   The one between/behind the wheels is the drain.  Where's the
other?  Don't you have an owner's manual?

*There's probably a one way valve between  the water pump and the rest of
the system.  This is to keep what you think is happening from not happening.
