Hello David, I had the same problem getting in and out of my other 
driveway at the old house and what I did was took the load leveling 
bars off at street level before I started backing up the driveway. 
It also was a steep driveway. The shape and the low profile of the 
Airstream is what makes it tow so good and I am afraid raising it 
would be a disaster.  This is just my thoughts on the matter and 
also what I did to get up my driveway. I had a 31 footer. Richard in
