Donna,

The type or brand of hitch makes no difference when backing a trailer.
I believe most of us that have had the opportunity to compare will agree 
the smaller the trailer the greater the challenge. The shorter distance 
from the trailer axle to the hitch make the trailer respond quicker to 
steering changes.
The old recommendations still apply, hand at the bottom of the steering 
wheel, move you hand in the direction you want the BACK end of the 
trailer to go, and with a shorter trailer go very slowly.
It will take practice but eventually you will get the hang of it. There 
just isn't a quick fix.
